Another victory in their next match against Finland's KuPS should be sufficient to seal direct entry to the knockout stages, especially following a previous stumble against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Seize the Opportunity
This match provided a chance for some of Palace's lesser-used players to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second start after joining on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a clinical goal. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a second, finding the net for the second game in succession.

The match was effectively over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past a series of weak challenges before coolly slotting a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.
After the break, coach Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw key players like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring his very first touch, only to see his effort blocked.
Esse was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one shot crash off both posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also missed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still scope for development in his game.
A solitary concern for Palace was a late knock to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This paved the way for 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to earn his senior debut, capping an otherwise perfect evening for the traveling side.
